Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. They allow the site to recognize your browser, remember certain information between pages and visits, and function reliably. We group the cookies and similar technologies we use into three categories. The specific names and lifetimes may change as we improve the Service, but the purposes below describe how each category is used.

(a) Strictly necessary. These are essential for the Service to operate and cannot be switched off through our consent controls. When you create an account or use features that require sign-in, we set session and authentication cookies to keep you logged in securely, and CSRF (cross-site request forgery) tokens to protect form submissions and requests. Our network and security provider, Cloudflare, also sets cookies to deliver content quickly, route traffic, mitigate abuse, and distinguish legitimate visitors from malicious ones. Examples include a session identifier, an authentication token, a CSRF token, and Cloudflare's security and performance cookies. Because these are required for core functionality and security, they are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure Service.

(b) Analytics. Where analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Service so we can measure performance and improve it. These cookies help us count visits, identify which pages are popular, and understand general usage patterns in aggregate. Where consent is legally required (for example, for visitors in the EU/EEA), analytics cookies are only set after you accept them. Examples include identifiers used to distinguish unique visitors and to measure session activity.

(c) Functional. These remember choices you make to give you a more convenient experience. We store your cookie-consent decision, your theme preference (such as light or dark mode), and UTM/referral attribution parameters so we can understand which campaign or link brought you to us. These functional items are typically stored in your browser's localStorage rather than as traditional cookies. They do not identify you personally and are used to honor your preferences and to attribute referrals accurately.

• Strictly necessary - session/authentication and CSRF tokens for account features, plus Cloudflare security and performance cookies; cannot be disabled.
• Analytics - Google Analytics (only if enabled; set with consent where required) to measure usage in aggregate.
• Functional - cookie-consent choice, theme preference, and UTM/referral attribution stored in localStorage.

On your first visit, where required, we display a consent banner that lets you accept all cookies or choose essential-only. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Strictly necessary cookies will continue to operate because they are required for the Service to function and to keep your account secure.

Please note that disabling or blocking certain cookies may affect how the Service works. If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, you may be unable to sign in, stay logged in, or use account features. Blocking analytics or functional items will not prevent you from using the Service but may reset your saved preferences.

Some cookies and similar technologies are set by trusted third-party providers that help us deliver and improve the Service. Each provider processes data under its own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

• Cloudflare - content delivery, security, and performance; sets cookies to route traffic, protect against abuse, and keep the Service fast and reliable.
• Google Analytics - web usage measurement, used only where analytics is enabled and, where required, after you provide consent.

We work with other processors that support the Service but do not generally rely on cookies in your browser - for example, an AI model provider reached through an API aggregator (to generate interpretations and chat responses when you use those features), Google Maps Platform (to geocode a birth city into coordinates), a third-party PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor (which handles card data directly; Astrollo never stores full card numbers), and a transactional email provider. Their data handling is described in our Privacy Policy. The browser-based Matriz del Destino tool runs entirely in your browser and does not send personal data to our servers.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, in our Service, or in legal requirements. When we make changes, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "last updated" date below. Where changes are significant, we may provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
